Applications for the 2017 NINR Summer Genetics Institute (SGI) are now being accepted until March 1, 2017, at 11:59 pm ET. The 2017 SGI will be held from June 5–30, 2017, on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD.
The SGI is a one-month, intensive research training program that provides participants with a foundation in molecular genetics appropriate for use in research and clinical practice. The 8-credit-hour graduate-level program includes both classroom and laboratory components. Last year’s class completed 42 lectures and 12 lab sessions.
The program is sponsored by NINR with no tuition costs to the attendees. Attendees are responsible for their own expenses incurred during the program including room, board, and transportation.
Nursing graduate students, faculty, and clinicians who are citizens or permanent U.S. residents may apply. Applicants should demonstrate potential for a highly productive research or clinical career.
