Funding for the Heilbrunn Family Center for Research Nursing at the Rockefeller University and the associated funds to support the Heilbrunn Nurse Scholar Awards is made possible by a generous endowment from Helaine Lerner and her sister Joan Rechnitz in honor of their parents Harriet and Robert Heilbrunn

ELIGIBILITY: Registered nurses in a doctoral program who have completed their dissertation proposal defense, or doctorally-prepared nurses who are actively engaged in nursing science.

SUBMISSION DETAILS: The Heilbrunn award is a 1-2 year program that provides financial support for nurses to pursue independent research projects and make a contribution to the discipline of nursing. For the 2021 Heilbrunn Nurse Scholar Award cycle, applications focusing on investigations related to obesity preferred, but other areas of research are also accepted.

The maximum amount of funding per proposal is $25,000 (total). Applications are due between January 25-29, 2021, 5p EST. All applicants will be notified of the disposition of their proposal by April 15, 2021.
