Exciting Podcast Contest Announced!
The image of "nurse as scientist" is largely absent from public perception of nurses and nursing. The Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (Council) has announced a competition to create a series of enhanced podcasts that can be widely disseminated to the public to increase visibility and public awareness of nurses' roles as scientists in the development of knowledge for health care.
Students in nursing programs who are WIN members or from schools that are WIN member agencies are invited to submit podcasts representing the image of "nurse as scientist" for the public. The winning podcast from the WIN region will be awarded $1000 from the Council and will represent WIN in the national contest. Additional information at: http://www.nursing.vcu.edu/podcasting/Call_for_Podcasts.html.
Submit your podcasts of up to 2 minutes on a CD using these formats:

For enhanced podcast: .m4a
For video podcast: .mov
Criteria for selection will include:
• Extent to which message is consistent with theme of contest
