Professional Bio

I am a Nurse Scientist and Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist dedicated to
advancing nursing science, clinical practice, and education across healthcare systems.
I have 15 years of experience in acute care, gerontology, and psychiatric-mental
health nursing, which grounds my work in the realities of care delivery for the people
in Colorado.
My doctoral research examined ageism among nurses and how it shapes the care they
provide to older adults. This work informs my broader goal of developing
evidence-based interventions that improve health outcomes for this population.
Teaching is central to my professional path. I served as a Doctoral Student Teaching
Fellow at the University of Colorado College of Nursing from 2022 to 2025, teaching
undergraduate and graduate nursing courses. I continue to teach undergraduate and
graduate students for the College of Nursing.
Across research, practice, and education, I am committed to continuous learning and
to building evidence-based approaches that help nurses provide equitable,
person-centered care to the residents of Colorado.
