"Economic, social, and political pressures impinging on the nursing profession may nudge us to “act in ways that violate personal or professional values” (Copeland, 2021, p. 426). To counter those pressures, nurse scientists can purposefully design research to advance a humanized, ethical, and healthy future in collaboration with disabled people. Inclusive research methods, leadership by disabled nurses, and accessible scientific conferences will strengthen nursing science and better serve those who experience disparities in access and care."
